What you will need?

To install your LEDs you will first need to choose a 12v LED strip of your choice. Whether you want neutral, cool or warm white is completely up to you, choose a strip you are happy with. Coloured LED strips can also be used, however they may not be as beneficial when trying to find something within the cabinet. Once you have your strip, for a little more protection it is worth investing in an LED Profile to ensure the strip does not get bashed around as the cupboard gets filled. This profile will also keep dirt and dust away, providing a surface that is easier to clean than the strip itself. To complete the installation you will also need to select a door sensor, which will make the lights automatic as well as a 12v driver which will act as your power supply to keep the LEDs running.

Installation guidance

Now you have everything you need for your installation, you can get to work. Start by placing your chosen strip within the LED profile, ensuring that both have been cut to the required size. LED strip has pre-made cut points to ensure the circuit will not be broken when they are cut down, allowing you to resize your strip yourself without worrying about doing damage. Once this has been done, using the sticky backing on your LED strip, secure it in place within the profile and then attach the profile within the cabinet using the appropriate fixings. Wire the LED strip through the cabinet and connect to the door sensor. Secure the door sensor in place and then connect it to the driver which will power the circuit.
